Meet Our Doctors
Michael P. Boyczuk, D.D.S.
Michael Boyczuk graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology in 1986. He then attended State University of New York at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, where he obtained his degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1991. Dr. Boyczuk completed his residency program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Kings County Hospital Center in Brooklyn, NY in 1996. He pursued an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgical Fellowship with emphasis on Facial Cosmetic Surgery through Dr. Kenneth Rotskoff in St. Louis, MO in 1997.
Dr. Boyczuk is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and he is currently active in the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, New York State Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Western New York Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Eighth District Dental Society, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and the American Dental Society of Anesthesia. He also participates in many local Dental Study Groups.
Dr. Boyczuk is on active staff at Erie County Medical Center and courtesy staff at Bertrand Chaffee Hospital in Springville. He is an active Clinical Assistant Professor at State University of New York at Buffalo Department of Health Sciences.
Dr. Boyczuk has been in private practice with the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Associates of WNY since 1997. He is married with three children and resides in Orchard Park.
William Boyczuk, D.D.S., M.D.
Dr. William Boyczuk attended St. John Fischer College from 1991 to 1994, majoring in biology. He then attended the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, where he obtained his degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1998. Dr. Boyczuk completed a six year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency in 2004. During this training, he also received his M.D. degree from MCP Hahnmann University (now Drexel) in 2001.
Dr. Boyczuk is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is also a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the NYS Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the WNY Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Medical Association, the Medical Society of the State of New York, American Dental Association, NYS Dental Association, Erie County Dental Society, the University of Buffalo Dental Alumni Association, and Omicron Kappa Upsilon.
Dr. Boyczuk is an active Clinical Assistant Professor at the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is on staff at Erie County Medical Center, Mercy Hospital, and Bertrand Chaffee Hospital.
Dr. Boyczuk is married with three children and resides in Orchard Park.
Justin Au, DMD, MD, FACS
Justin Au, DMD, MD, FACS graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2007 and completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery in 2013 at University at Buffalo. He is a Diplomate with the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and practices full scope oral and maxillofacial surgery including dentoalveolar, implant, orthognathic, facial trauma, reconstructive and temporomandibular joint surgery. He is an active fellow in the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American College or Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American College of Surgeons, Western New York Society of Oral Surgeons, New York State Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Erie County Dental Society, and the American Dental Association. He maintains certification in General anesthesia, Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Advanced Trauma Life Support.
Dr. Au is on staff at Kaleida Health and Erie County Medical Center and regularly covers their level I facial trauma. He is also active at University at Buffalo School of Dental medicine as a clinical assistant professor.
While originally from Toronto, Canada, Dr. Au now considers Western New York home with his wife, Karen, three children and their dog. When Dr. Au is not providing high quality care for his patients, he enjoys hiking, fishing, and skiing.
Ryan Brown, DMD
Dr. Brown graduated from Weber State University in Ogden, Utah with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology in 2006. He began working at Ultradent Products Inc. in 2007 as a chemical formulator. He quickly realized that he loved the dental field and was accepted into dental school at Roseman University of Health Sciences in South Jordan, Utah. Dr. Brown graduated with his Doctor of Dental Medicine in 2015. Over the next two years, he completed Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery internships at the John H. Stroger Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois and the John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas. Dr. Brown was then accepted into the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery program at the University of Buffalo and completed his training in 2020. Dr. Brown is board eligible with the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons. He maintains certification in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
Dr. Brown is in the process of becoming a staff member at the Erie County Medical Center, Kaleida Health, and the University of Buffalo School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Brown was born in Orlando, Florida and moved to Northern Utah when he was eight years old. He and his wife Sarah have four children. They enjoy being outdoors, boating, hiking, fly fishing, kayaking, and snowboarding/skiing. Dr. Brown especially loves sports, cooking with his wife, and watching Star Wars with his kids. He is excited to be back in Buffalo!
Margarita Varer, DDS, MD
Dr. Margarita Varer is a board certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon, and a native New Yorker. She has been enjoying private practice surgery since 2020.
Dr. Varer graduated from the State University of New York at Binghamton with her Bachelor of Science degree in cell & molecular biology. She then went on to study at the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a minor in oral & maxillofacial surgery. Along with high honors Dr. Varer received the American Academy of Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology Award and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology Horace Wells Award for exceptional interest in anesthesia and pain control.
Dr. Varer then went on to complete her 6-year post-doctoral training in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the prestigious University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she also obtained her medical degree.
As a Diplomate with the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons she practices to the highest standard in caring for all patients. She is licensed to practice dentistry and perform deep sedation/general anesthesia for adults and children alike.
She maintains certification in General anesthesia, Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
When not in the office treating patients Dr. Varer can be found enjoying the outdoors, hiking, gardening, or simply enjoying the company of her husband and son.
